How does the organization manage those technologies?

The University of Phoenix utilizes proprietary software to administer the university website that houses the classroom environments. Technical support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When the website experiences technical difficulties, technical support works effortlessly and non-stop to solve the issues and restore connectivity for the students and faculty. The University constantly looks for ways to allow the users easy access to classrooms and the University website. In the summer of 2011, the University introduced the Apple application for the IPhone and IPad. The application for the android devise will be available in the fall of 2011. The University of Pheonix has been an asynchronous learning environment, but research has shown the need for some synchronous learning opportunities to allow the University to continue to provide cutting edge technology to the student body and faculty members. Individual and group chat has been added to the website to allow the students and faculty real-time communication. In doing so, the University has kept up with the constantly changing world of technology and given the website users an avenue for synchronous learning.
